Requirements:
Must have an accounting or payroll background with attention to detail.
Background in construction or working in refineries or power plants preferred along with experience dealing with multiple crafts/unions, and TRACK software.
Core
Responsibilities:
Process and enter employee new hire data and changes for craft and staff personnel, verify employee documentation for accuracy and monitor changes to ensure time is entered correctly.
Process payroll data from the timesheet system to the ERP system.
Maintain TRACK schedules to ensure hours worked are calculating correctly.
Utilize TRACK system to reconcile variances for hours worked.
Process overrides, if applicable, into TRACK system to ensure hours worked are equivalent to hours billed.
Monitor overrides for approval and review/resubmit rejected overrides, if applicable.
Accurately allocate contract costs down to the task level of work orders in a timely manner.
Review rejected allocations in a timely manner and collaborate with PM and project controls group to determine how contract costs should be reallocated.
Monitor purchase order values and notify PM and project controls group of overages.
Monitor TRACK approvals by customer reps and let PM know of allocations that are not approved in a timely manner.
Review billing rates to ensure rates in TRACK are correct.
Review approved allocations weekly and process billing in ERP system for labor, material and equipment charges.
Reconcile billings with payments received.
Create, run and distribute standard periodic reports.
Maintain organized electronic and/or hard copy files for easy identification and retrieval.
Assists others in the field construction site as necessary.
Knowledge/Skills:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Accounting or Business Administration Degree preferred 2-4
years' experience in cost accounting, union payroll, or related fields Experience with Viewpoint is preferred Chemical/refinery industry and auditing experience preferred Knowledge of TRACK is highly preferred Proficiency with MS Office Suite Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions Ability to apply basic accounting principles Advanced knowledge of Excel in creating complex spreadsheets using formulas and defining output to meet specific needs Must have timekeeping experience with large volumes of employees and be familiar with straight time, overtime and double time policies and timekeeping standards.
Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
Must be able to meet deadlines and work under high pressure WORK ENVIRONMENT The job will primarily be around construction sites.
Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, irritates and smoke may occur.
This job includes, but is not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting up to 25 lbs, and viewing computer screens for long periods of time.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
